About Ellis
I’m Ellis Ekekhor, a cultural and spiritual adaptive psychotherapist working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction-related challenges, and life transitions and couples navigating changes.
My approach is grounded in evidence-based practice while also being deeply attentive to culture, identity, and lived experience.
I offer a collaborative and respectful space where clients can slow down, make sense of their experiences, and begin to understand patterns that may be keeping them stuck.
I draw from modalities such as Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and trauma-informed care, while adapting each session to meet your unique needs and pace.
Having a strong interest in culturally responsive therapy, I pay close attention to how family systems, migration experiences, and identity shape emotional well-being.
My goal is to support clients in building self-awareness, emotional regulation skills, and a stronger sense of agency in their lives.
Therapy with me is not about “fixing” you. It’s about working together to create space for understanding, healing, and meaningful change.
